Distant Star

O! Star up in the sky so bright,
I gaze at you with pure delight,
As you shine down your radiant light,
Upon me from afar.

When my life seems so unfair,
And the world seems not to care,
I look up and see you there,
Sending comfort from afar.

And as the singers have sung their song,
And the writers have written, for so long,
I will join them, my voice loud and strong,
To tell of the distant star.
